Plenary Meeting of the EU Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights

We would like to inform you that the EU Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights (hereinafter: EU Observatory) held its Plenary meeting on 30 September and 1 October 2020. The virtual meeting was attended by representatives from competent authorities of the Member States of the European Union, the European Parliament, the European Commission, international organisations, as well as many representatives from organisations of intellectual property rights holders and associations of civil society.

European Commission Published Reports on Results of Applying Memoranda of Understanding Focused on Combating Counterfeit Goods on the Internet

The European Commission published on its website a Report on the functioning of the 2011 Memorandum of understanding on the sale of counterfeit goods on the internet and a Report on the functioning of the 2018 Memorandum of understanding on online advertising and intellectual property rights. Two Reports Published by EUIPO on the Occasion of the World Anti-Counterfeiting Day

On the occasion of the World Anti-Counterfeiting Day, celebrated on 10 June this year, the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) published two new reports related to the fight against counterfeiting and crime in the field of intellectual property. The World Anti-Counterfeiting Day has been celebrated in June every year, ever since 1998.
